Mayor Billy Kenoi enjoyed sunset dinner at Huggo’s in Kailua-Kona on Monday night. He’s  pictured above with Huggo’s manager Nakies Constantinou.  Kudos to Mayor Kenoi and team for everything they did to keep us all informed and safe Saturday night when the entire chain of Hawaiian Islands was under a tsunami warning following the earthquake off the west coast of Canada. The Huggo’s ohana wishes Mayor Kenoi the best of luck in the upcoming election.

We’re talking art show and auction in upcountry Holualoa followed by dinner on the oceanfront at Huggo’s. The 2nd Annual Hawaii Artist Collaborative is coming to a close today and the art created during this four day event will be displayed and offered at a live auction at the Holualoa Inn on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. — finishing  just in time for dinner with us!

October 11, 2012, Thursday of Ironman Week always starts out with one of our all-time favorite events — the wacky & fun “Tighty Whitey Race”! And this morning was no different, more than 1,000 turned out in all forms of underwear to spoof the sparse attire of tri-athletes — initially, primarily European participants whose speedo clad bodies were seen all about town, not only training on the course. We were there to see it all…and we do mean all…and snap a few shots in case you missed it.
