We’re talking art show and auction in upcountry Holualoa followed by dinner on the oceanfront at Huggo’s. The 2nd Annual Hawaii Artist Collaborative is coming to a close today and the art created during this four day event will be displayed and offered at a live auction at the Holualoa Inn on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. — finishing just in time for dinner with us!
This year the collaborative brought 30 artists (working in a variety of mediums) from throughout Hawaii Island, Oahu, Australia, England and the mainland U.S. to the sleepy town of Holualoa. They worked side-by-side this week, sharing ideas and skills to create dozens of items — all of the art a group effort and all of it to be auctioned at the no reserve, not-for-profit event Sunday. Go ahead and bid wildly, it supports great causes — art scholarships and funding for future collaborative events. The reception and auction is complimentary and open to the public. Kudos to Holualoa artists Tai Lake and Cliff Johns, catalysts behind this annual Hawaii Island special event introduced in fall 2011.
Advance dinner reservations at Huggo’s are recommended! Reserve on-line at Huggo’s.com or phone: (808) 329-1493. We look forward to welcoming you and, in the meantime, happy bidding!
