The Kona coast is famous for its sunsets, and Huggo's sits directly on the water facing them — nothing between the table and the horizon but the bay.
Arrive early and start at hBAR with Liquid Happy Hour from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, the only from-scratch Classic Mai Tai on the island, poured as the light turns gold. Dinner service begins at 5:00 pm, timed so the main course meets the sunset.
Sunset in Kona falls between roughly 5:45 pm in winter and 7:15 pm in summer. Book a table about an hour before sundown for the full show, and stay after; the torches come on and the shoreline glows.
