Huggo's has welcomed guests on the Kona coast since 1969, and we want everyone to be able to join us — both here on the website and at the restaurant.

Our website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means we work to provide readable type sizes and color contrast, descriptive text for images, labeled forms and reservation fields, full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators, meaningful headings and landmarks for screen readers, and layouts that work on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a one-time project. We review the site as we add pages and features, and some third-party tools we rely on — such as online reservations, secure checkout, and downloadable menus — are outside our direct control. If one of those tools creates a barrier for you, please tell us and we will help you complete what you were trying to do.

At the restaurant

Huggo's is an oceanfront restaurant built on the rocks, and parts of the property include steps and sloped walkways. We have accessible seating and restroom facilities, and our team is glad to help with arrival, seating, and parking. Please call ahead so we can plan the best route and table for your party, including guests using wheelchairs or other mobility devices, and guests with service animals.

We are also happy to accommodate dietary needs and allergies, and to read menus aloud or provide large-print information on request.

Ticketed dinners and events

For wine dinners and prix fixe events, let us know about accessibility needs when you reserve or by contacting us afterward with your confirmation number. We will note your request and confirm the arrangements before the event.
