2017 Wahine Tournament

It is almost that time of year again! The 22nd Annual Huggoʻs Wahine Fishing Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, July 29th! The theme this year is Disney! This all-weekend event combines a day on the water, camaraderie for women, charity, and celebration among mothers, daughters, and friends.

This fun-filled fishing tournament, with prizes for the best decorated boat and best costumed team, benefits Family Support Hawaii (FSH), formally Family Support Services of West Hawaii. In addition to the prizes for best decorated boat and best costumed team, the all-women anglers compete for cash prizes which are awarded to the teams with the biggest marlin/billfish.

“We’re excited to be hosting our annual Wahine Tournament,” says Huggo’s owner Eric von Platen Luder. “Over the past 20 years this fun, charity-focused tournament has donated more than $150,000 to Family Support Hawaii. We’re thankful that through the community’s support of the event, FSH can make a difference in people’s lives.”
