United Airlines’ in-flight magazine, Hemispheres, has featured Huggo’s on the Rocks once again (this is our second time and we’re working on a three-peat!) in its “Three Perfect Days” feature. You’ll find it on board now or simply follow this link: Three Perfect Days: Hawaii.
Jacqueline Detwiler, the magazine’s senior edior, penned the article and says in part:
“The sun is nearing the water again, which means it’s time for a giant beer and a guava–barbecue pork sandwich in the sand at Huggo’s on the Rocks. A band breaks out into some island standards while the tide rolls in, and the crowd gets rowdy. You are briefly reminded of college spring breaks — but in a good way.”

We couldn’t agree more! Mahalo Jacqueline and come back and see us again soon!

Huggo’s out of the top 5 things I miss the most about the Big Island is your delicous food (especially the potato mac salad) and the beautiful views. Can’t wait to come back again! Oh and that’s a pretty good looking couple up top there! ;o)
Hurry back Aimee…your potato mac is waiting for you!
Enjoyed the relaxed laid back attitude of Huggo’s on the Rocks. Having that attitude combined with the view, service and food made it our favorite place on the Big Island. It is a “must do” if one wants to really get relaxed while enjoying excellent food and service. Mahalo.
Thanks for the kind words Brad. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Aloha from all of us at Huggo’s on the Rocks
