Decorated boats on parade pre-tourney start.

Mahalo to more than 300 anglers who participated in Huggo’s 17th Annual Wahine Fishing Tournament on Saturday, helping us to raise $10,000 for Family Support Services of Hawaii.

We’re delighted with the turn-out, the great sportsmanship and competitive fun — all for a great cause. More than 75 boats were in action this year with a total of 24 marlin hooked. Team Congo My Bongos clinched first place with it’s 401-pound marlin brought in by angler Libby Snider with her team mates Alana Adams, Jackie Trask and Taylar Terrazaz, and with Captain Trevor Child and Crew Nick Atkins. ¬†Congratulations team Congo My Bongos¬†and to all of this year’s participants!

See you same time, same place next year!

Pre-start water gun fights are a tradition on Kailua-Kona Bay!
